             I dont need to introduce you all to Marathi in a new  way. You guys know the way it's pattern has changed. Before, the pattern was like...."If you know the answer then  you can answer the question!"
          But the new pattern is like,   "If you know the LANGUAGE  then you can answer the question."
              So to get aquainted with the language your grammer and writing skills are needed to be strong along with your vocabulary.
            The SSC board has just made a statement that you all need to be perfect with your grammer  from 1st standard up to 10th . This  makes a clear confusion in our mind tending us to think exactly what do we have to study?
              So here's a bifurcated detail list of all the topics you need to cover. You may just note these topics, so you can crosscheck what has to be implemented.

                  Each of the above mentioned topics is a bit discriptive, so I can't upload it in just one post . Though the questions asked regarding the above mentioned grammer topics appear in exam for 1or2 marks you need to prepare each topic to secure each and every mark.You can put forth your demands if you wish; then I will post a separate article on the particular that you mention.
                
                 Most of you might have gone through this year's SSC Board's Marathi paper.
I am uploading this paper just in case anyone is left to be benefitted. 

 

                  After going through the paper you guys might have understood why grammer and writing skills are so important.

                  There are various books available which you can refer for yourself . But always do remember you cannot skip text reading. Cause even if we study from some digest, solutions or something like that it will just guide us how to approach a question and not how to answer by yourself. Board wont choose questions from solutions and digests. So its mandatory for us to comprehend the text well ! 
                  Studing the digest, once you have read the text will surely make you perfect with your textual lessons.
                  
             To speak about rapid reading you must not only understand it but each and every word of each and every lesson must be stored in your mind and heart forever.
                        
                     We cannot forget about PERSONAL RESPONSE.

IT'S ALL ABOUT GEOMETRY

Geometry is all about Shapes and their properties. If you like playing with objects or like drawing then geometry is for you. 

Today I am going to provide you with some hints, tips and tricks for geometry.

Hints :- 

1. While solving your paper, read the given sum carefully. Write data correctly, check it twice before solving the sum. 
2. It's advisable not to change the order of the questions given in the question paper.
3. Write all the sub-questions together.
4. Start a new question on a new page.
5. Write final answers in a box drawn with a pencil.
6. Draw a line with a pencil after completion of every answer.
7. Write correct units to final answer.
8. Every sum can be solved with different methods . But it is advisable to solve sums by method mentioned in the text book.
9. It necessary to practice sums regularly.
10. First of all complete exercise problems thoroughly and then problem set followed by hots and solved examples.
11. Chapters 1st and 2nd are important for proofs.
12. Be well versed with all of the concepts in your textbook.
13. To score above 35 in geometry each sum should be solved atleast 4-5 times.
14. Appropriate reasons should provided as and when needed.
15. Correct signs and symbols should be used at appropriate places.

Political science

It's science of Rajniti

Political science is thought one of the most boring subjects. While in std X the benefit of studying social sciences may not be appertnt to you rest assured there are any benefits. It may be your most or least favourite subject you have to study.

For political science marks allotted are 12. All the answers should be written in points. Optimum points should be written and you should not calculate the points in terms of marks. Number the questions properly and do not change the order of the questions. 

Quote examples in the answer's of political science. In "true or false" explain the statement. 

NOTE:- Textbook language is preferable

Read, revise and write is the correct way to be successful in exams

General instructions

You must prepare a timetable and give equal time to all subjects. It helps to save time and trains you to study in a methodical manner.

It would be wise to allot a time span of 45min.-1hr. for each period of study. Remember to allot a break of about 5min.-7min. between periods of study(Do not make the break too long). During the break get up , stretch yourself, talk to the people around you and then get back to study. Before you finalise you're timetable give yourself a week to test how it works.

Study in a regular place with adequate light and free from any disturbance. A regular time for study must be adhered to. Provide yourself with adequate time for leisure, meals and sleep. 

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT KEEP YOUR MOBILE PHONES AWAY.

Remember there is on royal road to learning. The beginnings are always tough. The road may get rough at times but the goalies always fruitful.

“Practice will make you perfect in English!!!”

 Starting early will help a student to score good marks and to tackle unnecessary burden. While starting preparation late, a student will have to deal with huge portion of subject in very less amount of time. This leads to unnecessary stress. And under stress, many students will crack and may get depressed. This negatively affects exam preparation and leads to low marks. Start early and you’ll be able to prepare well, spot your weakness and work on them.

This content of mine will deal with the UNIT WISE preparation of English subject.

Unit 1: WIT AND HUMOUR

1)  Television:

a)  For all the poems make sure that you’ll are aware with rhyme scheme, figures of speech, and most important “Meanings”.

b)  Comprehend well the words used in this particular poem because highly exaggerated sentences are used in an effective manner

2)  The Tie that Does not bind:

a)  This passage has many hidden meanings. So, proper understanding of the meanings is necessary.

b)   Try to understand the title and the purpose which has been tried to express through it.

 3)  The Night the Ghost Got In:

a)  Try to understand the lesson in an incident manner. By doing so, it will make you remember the lesson for the entire year.

UNIT 2: NATURE AND ENVIRONMENT:

This unit mainly deals with the inspirations or teachings which nature tends to give us. Make sure that you are well versed with the first two chapters “The ALCHEMY OF NATURE” AND “THE GARDEN OF SACRED PLANTS”.

UNIT 3: SPORTS AND ADVENTURE

Sports play an important role in maintaining our health and our mindset. Similarly, this unit also plays an important role in our portion for SSC Boards!

It is necessary to prepare all three chapters of this unit, because it has weightage as well as the words which you will come across while flipping the pages of these chapters will help you all to improve your vocabulary.

UNIT 4: SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

“RISING WITH THE SUN” chapter has many short forms and abbreviations which all the students should learn thoroughly.

Make sure that the chapters “SHAPING YOUNG MINDS”, “SCIENTIFIC SPIRIT IN DAILY LIFE” is at your finger tip.

UNIT 5: FOOD AND HEALTH

The first two chapters of this unit are very much important, because they are frequently asked for seen passages. So it is necessary to be thorough with these chapters.

UNIT 6: ART AND CULTURE

All the three chapters are very important in this unit. The vocabulary part is very much important and students should learn them thoroughly. This unit also has an important poem “OUR TREASURE”. So, make sure that you are well prepared with it.

UNIT 7: PEOPLE AND PERSONALITY

This unit is of great importance as seen passages are frequently asked from this particular unit every year. It also tends to become a favourite unit as the chapters are easy to understand without any complications. IT IS NECESSARY TO MAKE A PROPER NOTE OF ALL THE MEANINGS AND SHORT FORMS (The Human Touch), which will be useful in the longer run.

UNIT 8: INDIA AND NEIGHBOURS

As I mentioned before, unit 7 & 8 are of great importance, because one cannot expect that this particular chapter is not important.

It is necessary to practice all the textual activities and to learn thoroughly all the meanings which are provided of UNIT 7 & 8.

RAPID READING:

Try to read and understand all the 3 chapters in RR. Try to make a note of all the meanings and learn them thoroughly in your vacations so that you can just revise before the time of exams.

Grammar:

Many students find it difficult to deal with ENGLISH GRAMMAR lessons.

They often tend to ignore it. Instead of ignoring it, face them and work on your weakness. Use some reference books of grammar so that you can improve your Grammar knowledge. You may also check out online sources such as Grammar related websites, apps to work on your Grammar.

Go through individual lessons. Try to understand the concepts. If you have any doubt, jot it down and make a list of such doubts. Later, you may approach your teacher and clear your doubts.

Writing skills:

For “EXPANSION OF IDEAS”, practice the topics which are related to the POEMS of your syllabus. Use of proverbs and quotes in relation to the matter asked will make the content more attractive. Take special care of the formats in LETTER WRITING, REPORT WRITING. By doing so, it will help you to fetch more marks easily and efficiently. Keep your handwriting neat and tidy. All this can be achieved by working on writing skills.

This post of mine is especially for each one of us. Never ever think that amazing goals are achieved only by scholars. You all are omnipotent to achieve your goals. This post is not just for me to fill your brains with philosophy .These are some simple thoughts which I acquired from some exemplary people. It is for all knowledge gainers like you and me who are working to achieve their dreams and are living it!!!

SETTING TARGET

It is advisable to set your aims as 100%. I know this might bring absurd thoughts to you regarding your target but, seriously speaking I’ m just being practical. The reason why I’m suggesting you to set your target in this manner is it will NEVER LIMIT YOUR EFFORTS. Set an aim more than your caliber and capacity, so you know there’s still more to go. Setting an aim which is easily achievable by you limits your efforts. It is always better to set goals more than your capacity because

 CHALLENGES ARE OPPORTUNITIES.

OVERPOWERING SUBJECTS

Never ever try to dominate any subject I know there is again a “why?”  It is like nature’s verdict. Even if we take a complete lifetime’s span to dominate a subject we cannot do it because knowledge has no limits! Rather than dominating it say that you are going to walk hand in hand with the subject.

SUBJECTS WE HATE

This causes a lot of problem, tension and a lot of fuss!! People may suggest you, ”Rather than saying I hate this subject say I love this subject.”  I will suggest you guys say, “The subject loves me!” Every time 5 minutes before you start studying start thinking about all the chapters involved in it, recall everything that is possible. Then start studying the chapter or the particular concept.

Wi-Fi of Purity

Guys, believe me when you opt for something and the results are not up to the mark, blaming your teachers is not the solution.

This is what I believe and I comprehend from my experience: “TEACHER NEVER DECIDES AND GIVES YOU KNOWLEDGE, THE KNOWLEDGE COMES FROM THEM EVENTUALLY DEPENDING UPON THE STUDENTS’S RECEPTIVENESS AND CALIBER.” Be calm, be down to earth and respect your teachers. Make your attitude so exemplary that the knowledge would love to come to you and eventually the success.

     THERE IS NO BIG SUCCESS THAN RECEIVING KNOWLEDGE

This post is just like a rendezvous with science. Let me make one thing clear to you guys, science is just not a matter of practice. Science requires understanding the concepts and most importantly their application in life.

In this post I have tried putting up a plan regarding how to study science and understand the concepts well.

For chapters like SCHOOL OF ELEMENTS, ACID AND BASE CHEMISTRY, MAGIC OF CHEMICAL REACTIONS, METALS AND NON-METALS AND CARBON AND CARBON COMPOUNDS understanding the electronic configuration is very important. To understand the electronic configuration you must understand the atomic number and for that you must know the periodic table.

IS UNDERSTANDING THE CONFIGURATION SO IMPORTANT?

YES

WHY?

Because:

(1)        You are asked questions regarding the ionic composition of elements.

(2)    Regarding the covalent compounds.

(3)    They may also ask you how a particular ionic or covalent compound is formed.

(4)    Or sometimes they give you two elements and ask their reaction with each other.

(5)    Or they ask how an oxide of a particular element is formed.

(6)   Concepts like atomic radius, valency, molecules and equations are all based on electronic configuration.

So doing just the periodic table very sincerely is going to help you a lot.

NOTE: There is one application available which you can download, “THE PERIODIC TABLE.” It provides you everything regarding elements. Please take care that elements like Cobalt, Iron etc. have a bit different configuration. Knowing electronic configuration up to Ca (20) is enough. Please do not invest more time on this once your school is started do it now cause now you have a lot of time.

For chapters like ELECTRIC SPARK and ELECTROMAGNETISM: 

Chapter like electric spark is a vast chapter including a lot of concepts and numerical. To take it in an easy way you can divide the chapter concept wise and study a particular concept. Then solve the numerical regarding the particular concept.

Chapter like electromagnetism requires a strong imagination power. The AC and DC motors and generators in this chapter are very important and for that you must understand the principle of a current carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field experiences a force and electromagnetic induction.

NOTE: You can watch an animated video on you tube regarding the working of electric motor and electric generator.

FOR chapters like WONDERS OF LIGHT PART-1 and PART-2: 

Again PART-1 includes a lot of numerical. So you can follow the same strategy as for electric spark. The information regarding the eye and its defects is very important. There is a lot of information regarding eye; the best way to keep all that in mind is using a diagram Technic. It means you have to draw a diagram of the eye and keep in mind the information regarding each part when you draw that part. (Thanks to Shashikant Sir, our science teacher, for teaching us the eye diagram in such an efficient and amazing manner.) PART-2 is more theoretical and involves a lot of definitions. These definitions are asked most of the times thus comprehending them as they are written in our text is a must thing to do. PART-2 also includes a bit of calculation part but it is easy when we concentrate on it. We will look after it in detail when. To solve the numerical questions regarding the mirror and lens it is very essential to understand the signs and conventions regarding the lens and the mirror.

STRIVING FOR BETTER ENVIRONMENT PART-1: Comprehending the primary and secondary pollutants is essential. Eutrophication is an important concept along with the two mentioned above.

SSC SECRETS!

Tips for studies:

Every person has his/her own ambition and goals which he/she tries to achieve it. The first step to conquer this height is your “SSC Board Exams”. This is the competitive stage where the one who will put their best will be able to pursue the career which will in turn help to achieve their goals.

For Languages:

It is a mammoth task to score well in languages. But then too, if we will practice with a grit and determination then it will be very much easy. 

1)Reading textbooks:

Textbook reading is a must in order to score well in languages. Flipping the pages for name sake is not going to help. Whenever you are reading, sit along with a dictionary. Underline the difficult words and get the correct meaning of those difficult words. Try to memorize such difficult words along with the meaning and use it in your day-to-day conversation. It will urge you to use such words in your writing skills which will create a good impression and will make your content more attractive.

3)Practice writing skills:Make sure that you practice writing skills well. A student should be imaginative as well as creative to score good marks, because if a person is good in his/her writing skills then automatically he/she could excel in languages. A good command over ENGLISH is necessary. Students can make use of quotes and proverbs in order to enhance their content.

For Mathematics:

Many students are afraid of mathematics and often think that they cannot do it. Friends, Practice will make us perfect in mathematics.

1)Learn squares and cubes till 30 (or 40). It will help in reducing the time which is spent by us in calculations.

2)Learn tables thoroughly till 30. It will be very much useful not only in SSC exams but also the career which you will pursue ahead.

3)Instead of wasting time in your free lectures in school practice certain difficult sums in groups.

It will make you all understand faster.

4)Daily practice of mathematics is essential. Minimum practice of 1 hour is compulsory on a daily basis and 2 hours in weekends.

5)Practice sums as if you are writing a paper. This will help you to get perfection.

     Hi,guys! 
          I know you all are tensed and are pressurized by everyone by this time.Our condition was the same as yours.

    So I'm writing this post to calm you down and lend a helping hand for how to go about your studies for the next two months.(April and May).

SUBJECTS TO COVER: 

HISTORY: 
       AS per me our History portion is very vast especially "Emancipation of Asia and Africa". it would  be easy for you if you commence with them and get them completed during this vacation.

POLITICAL SCIENCE:  
     If you wish to go even more fast you can complete the last two lessons of political science. It really helps.You don't have to worry later and spend more time on it .you can invest that time in other subject where you feel you need more practice.

GEOGRAPHY: 
      In Geography,during vacations just complete the second last lesson.(lesson.no-8). As this chapter is very vast and takes a lot of time completing it in the vacations would fetch you a plus point.
          Practicing maps,map marking,drawing graphs can be given 15 to 30 minutes daily before going to bed.The thing is that studying just before going to bed registers things well in your mind. Thanks to Ankita miss(this is her tip).

ECONOMICS: 
      Even Geography will benefit you if you complete the economics section in vacations. Guys,the thing is that we have about 9 lessons in Geography and 4 in Economics .so being completely pit-pat with economics section will take you a notch higher. It will surely help you fetch full marks in Economics section.

SCIENCE-'A': 
       For science I personally preferred comprehending THE PERIODIC TABLE.At times questions are asked regarding the table. at least elements up to calcium(ca)(atomic.no-20)must be known.the diagrammatic representations and diagrams in science can be given 15 minutes daily for practice before going to bed . (This can be done for science-'B'as well). This helps improving our presentation as we can use these diagrams in brief answers when structure is asked.

ALGEBRA:
     Algebra, goes damn easy!! In this vacation try completing the Hots section. Although Algebra is a difficult subject for some of us completing the hots section  always benefits you.
1) after solving tough ones you can easily solve the simple ones.
2)Board sometimes asks questions from hots in the 4th and the 5th  question. so it can help you fetch those marks perfectly well.
     In Algebra;Quadratic equations chapter has a vast problem set completing it in vacation would surely help you.
